No plans yet? Time to make some! Aargau’s just around the corner – packed with treasure hunts, time-traveling tales, and refreshing swims in rivers and nature pools. And we have great ideas for your next fun family day out in Aargau.

Baden: At the Children’s Museum, step into the time machine and explore vintage toys, hands-on exhibits, and a summer theatre in the park. Enjoy lunch by the Limmat at the cosy “Kajüte,” then venture into the “Tüfels-Chäller,” a magical wild forest filled with moss-covered stones, secret trails, and tranquil picnic spots.

Lenzburg: Travel through time with Professor Wiesel at Museum Burghalde, meet mammoths, solve puzzles, and explore history hands-on. Then stroll through the charming old town, where audio spots and marble runs await. Refuel at Restaurant “Bärli” before cooling off at the Lenzburg Lido with water games, diving fun, or a football match.

Brugg: Step into Roman times at the Vindonissa Legionnaires’ Trail, take on exciting missions, forge iron like a true blacksmith or spend the night in a legionary camp. Refuel with tasty treats at “Livi’s Café & Lounge”, then dive into the fun at “Aquarena Bad Schinznach” with its grotto slide and lazy river.

Jurapark Aargau: Between the Aare and Rhine, adventure calls! Follow Perimuk, the little Jura dinosaur, through forests and meadows in Biberstein as you solve riddles. Stop for a picnic at Haselbrünneli, then cool off in Biberstein’s eco lido and watch the tadpoles and dragonflies in the adjacent but separate nature pool.

Rheinfelden: In the old town, you’ll meet a rather unusual tour guide: the little goat from the “Rumpel Glockenspiel”. Accompanied by music, she trots along the wall of a house several times a day, sharing the tale of Rheinfelden’s clever tailor. For lunch, head to the riverside lido and stay there for the rest of the day.

Olten: Riddles, rhythms and stories take you through Olten’s old town on the “Christian Schenker Trail”. Follow the map from one sound station to the next, then round off the day with games and a picnic at the nearby park and playground.

Freiamt: Discover the elements on Benzenschwil’s 2 km nature trail, where kids explore air, water, fire, and earth. Along the Wissenbach stream, a marble run, playground, and interactive stations invite families to play and learn. At lunchtime, BBQ spots offer the an idyllic setting in nature.

Wettingen: Foxtrail “Stella” transforms the monastery peninsula into an exciting playground for aspiring detectives. Solve puzzles, uncover mermaid legends and explore mysterious spots, then enjoy lunch at the Anker Bar in “Tägi”. Later cool off with a swim and a round of minigolf at Tägi Lido.

Aarau: Hot on the trail of forest spirit Lou: This 3.5 km adventure trail invites you to explore the wonders of the woods. A detour to Roggenhausen Wildlife Park brings animal encounters, while sausages sizzle at forest grill spots. In the afternoon, it’s off to Schachen pool for a splash and a swim.
