Who’s been digging all those holes by the pond? An over-enthusiastic mole? A treasure hunter? Or have the cheeky squirrels been up to mischief again? The new adventure of SZU's Puzzle Weeks on the Felsenegg is full of questions and mysteries – and it all begins on the 4th of October 2025. Who will help Bo and his friends during the autumn holidays in Zurich to solve all the riddles?
Autumn holidays are a time of adventure: when colourful leaves crunch underfoot, the forest smells of mushrooms and shiny chestnuts fill your pockets, the Felsenegg once more autumn-holidays-felsenegg-puzzle-weeksbecomes a stage for puzzles and discovery. Between mighty beeches and oaks you’ll find not only spectacular views over Zurich and its lake, but also a brand-new mission for budding detectives.
From the 4th to the 19th of October 2025, the SZU Puzzle Weeks return with an exciting new story (written in German) by children’s Swiss songwriter Andrew Bond. At the heart of it all are mysterious craters by the pond. At five stations along the circular trail to Baldern, children are invited to track animals and mark their finds with stickers on a treasure map. Step by step, they uncover who has been digging so busily in the woods.
Alongside, of course, are Bo the gourmet squirrel with his friends Eddie the hedgehog and Wilma the wood mouse. The mission bag – complete with story (German), map and stickers – is available at the valley station of the Felsenegg cable car in Adliswil, just a ten-minute walk from the railway station. From here, the adventure begins with a ride high above the treetops to the Albis ridge.
At the top, young detectives roam through ancient woodland, listen to birdsong and catch leafy glimpses of the city and Lake Zurich. The 90-minute circular trail leads to Baldern and back via Restaurant Felsenegg. Along the way, barbecue sites invite families to grill their own sausages, benches provide perfect resting spots, and the playground by the restaurant is ideal for a break after tea and coffee or lunch. A fountain for topping up water bottles is also available.
Those who crack the puzzle can collect a small surprise back at the cable car valley station.
