Kambly Christmas Market: Discover the Magic of Advent

Candlelight, crafts and children’s laughter at Kambly Christmas Market – in the Emmental, Advent begins quietly with warmth, lights, local gifts and the wonderful scent of fresh baking.
Among the rolling hills of the Emmental, the true magic of Advent can still be found, as the grounds around the “Kambly Experience” transform into a festive village for the Kambly Christmas Marke. On the first two weekends of Advent, wooden chalets brim with regional treasures sold by their makers – handmade cards, delicate paper cuttings, pewter jewellery and aromatic tea blends. By the fire pits and in the heated tent, adults gather to chat, while children slip into their own Christmas world. They cheer for Kasperli, recite verses to St Nicholas (6th of December) or decorate gingerbread with the Kambly Maîtres Confiseurs. Later, everyone follows the illuminated path along the river Ilfis. Lanterns light the 600-metre trail, tea is served by the fire and sausages roast over the embers. A stop at the factory shop rounds off the visit with a taste of Kambly’s Advent magic to take home.

The Kambly Experience opens at 09:00 each day. In the evening, opening hours are extended in line with the Christmas market.
Tip: From 22 November to 24 December 2025, the Atelier Kambly at the Village de Noël in Vevey offers the chance to decorate gingerbread and savour the world-famous Bretzeli.
